On Monday, 21 April, within the scope of a two-day official visit to the Republic of Portugal, Arseniy Yatseniuk, Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, met Anibal Cavaco Silva, President of the Republic of Portugal.
At the meeting, the Parties discussed the authorities of branches of power.
The Chairman of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine believes that energy dependence on other countries is a common problem of Ukraine and Portugal. A.Yatseniuk expressed his confidence in the development of cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector.
A.Yatseniuk also highly appreciated the attitude of the President of the Portuguese Republic as regards support of Euro-Integration pursuits of Ukraine.
On Monday, 21 April, A.Yatseniuk will also meet Luís Amado, Minister of State and for Foreign Affairs of Portugal, and B. Orta, President of Portuguese Foreign Trade and Investment Promotion Agency.
